Mr. Joshua Adotey holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Coastal Zone Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, both from the University of Cape Coast. Joshua specializes in coastal zone management with a focus on climate change impacts on coastal livelihoods and natural resources. As part of his engagement, he is the Project Coordinator for the Avu Lagoon CREMA Project.
As an Assistant Research Fellow, he leads blue carbon research activities at the Centre for Coastal Management, University of Cape Coast (UCC). Joshua’s most important research focused on the carbon stock assessment of coastal ecosystems such as mangroves. He also serves as an Editorial Assistant in the Journal of Fisheries and Coastal Management of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, University of Cape Coast. Joshua is adept in the development of monitoring and evaluation systems for projects and has conducted routine monitoring for donor projects for the past seven years. He is presently the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the World Bank-funded Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast.
